High risk pregnancy – 44 years old. GTT test at 28 weeks was clear. Should I repeat on 34 weeks?
You will be glad to hear that if you have had a clear GTT at 28weeks, there is no need to repeat it. At each of your antenatal appointments, your urine will be dipped as part of the check up. Occasionally we can see glucose present in the sample and this might prompt your doctor/midwife to repeat the GTT but if the urine is clear there is no need.
Keep in mind that a healthy diet is very important for your growing baby. You can of course, enjoy a few treats but save your chocolate until after you appointments
