20 Jul Packing your labour ward bag for a planned C-section
Packing your hospital bag for the labour ward when prepping for a planned c-section isn’t much different then that of a natural birth. You can bring your baby’s first outfit and nappies packed in a little bag, and that is all you’ll need to go to theatre. You will be given a very fetching surgical gown, a cap and some white stockings by the hospital to wear on the day.
The midwife will help you freshen up and change into your own nightdress when you get back to the ward. Look for a few nightdresses with buttons down the front for that magical skin to skin after birth.
You can bring your bag for your postnatal stay when you check in and it will be at your bed when you return with your baby.
