Should I be worried about my placenta showing signs of calcification at 35 weeks?

It’s difficult to answer specific medical questions as we don’t know the full picture of your pregnancy.

Calcification occurs naturally in most placentas as you head towards the final few weeks of pregnancy. If your doctor has identified this on scan, they will no doubt be keeping a good eye on things for you and will always provide you with the best care to keep you and your baby safe.

As with all pregnancies, the best advice I can give is that you should keep a good eye on babies movements.

If you have any concerns that your baby is not moving as much as normal or the pattern has changed, contact your midwife/doctor to let them know.
