We wouldn’t recommend anything additional inside the cot. Babes love to snuggle and will instinctively move towards soft or fluffy bumpers which increases the risk of suffocation. Bumpers also often have ties to secure them to the cot which can also be a risk of strangulation. We follow the safe sleep guidance which is available from the HSE. These guidelines are to reduce the risk of SIDS (sudden infant death syndrome) which used to be known as cot death.
